Welcome to the Hammock Happenings Website.  Summer is almost here and this is where you will discover the many activities taking place throughout the Park this season.    Many events have been planned and we would love everyone to join in and have fun.  If you have any ideas, suggestions, would like to volunteer to help with any event or if you know of any young camper in need of community service hours, please send an email.

Ribbon Trophy - WINNERS

Throughout the summer campers were involved in a variety of events, earning ribbons for the Ribbon Trophy.  This summer's winner - a repeat winner from last year is the Coulter/Gratton family from Site 5 with a FANTASTIC score of  80 points.

Congratulations to Jim, Laura, Huxley and Quinn on this wonderful achievement.

SUNSETS BY THE LAKE

Every Friday evening at sunset, come down to the dock and join your fellow campers to watch the spectacular sunsets over Lake Couchiching.

LADIES LUNCHEON

EVERY TUESDAY IN JULY AND AUGUST

This event is open to any permanent or transient ladies who would like to spend an afternoon of fun, food and friendship with a group of fabulous ladies who enjoy having lunch at various restaurants in and around Orillia. 


FISHING DERBY

Pike and pickerel (walleye) are now in season. Have your catch weighed at the Office to be in the running for a trophy at the end of the season. The categories include pike, pickerel, smallmouth and largemouth bass with 2 age levels:

Watch for one-day paid entry derbies over the summer with cash prizes for winners.

CHILI COOK OFF - August 26

Saturday August 27th the Annual Chili Cook of was held by the pool area.

Chefs were provided with 2 pounds of ground beef and it was up to them to work their magic.

Nine different chilis were entered and EVERY SINGLE ONE was amazing.
